Jacob Santo Bio

Born and raised in Santorini island of Greece under the volcanic influences and vibes he started his musical journey early on at 8 years old holding a bouzouki in his hands and trying to learn how the sound becomes music. From that point he was involved in any instrument was brought to him. Along his theoretical approach to music he started djing at local bars and clubs in Santorini. At 17 years old left the island for studies on Music Technology and production at University of Newcastle upon Tyne. During his time there he has being djing and producing music in U.K with respect into house music and every kind that sounds good. His first international Gig was at Apartment Bar Club in Newcastle and from that moment a lot more came along. Warming up for djs like Louie Vega , Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussell and many others and having his residency at Stereo Club Newcastle the path of his djing was open and growing. After his studies and a year of work on production with great musicians and bands came back to his island to search his musical identity back to his roots. In 2005 he met with one of the most respectable and accomplished producers in house music Osunlade and then his musical journey was clear and started to writing his pages and leaving his mark into music. “ His friendship only was enough for me to understand music “ . At the moment in his home island Santorini he has the honor to be a part of Yoruba Records family and the father of the label himself Mr.Osunlade. His meeting with Paso Doble and Apostolos brought in life an amazing trio “ Trinity “ which is one of the most exciting music explorations he has been into and ... be prepared for them cause they will be bouncing the dance floors with every track. He is involved also to afro house music with respect and genuine love Jacob Santo has found a lot of interesting people collaborating and preparing the next step of the scene. Jacob Santo also doing work for other labels around the world and music for films documentaries and such. He created AMV Studio in 2011 in order to have the chance to record with musicians he respects and admire so he can try to involve more into music’s mystery sounds. AMV Studio is located in Santorini, Greece and it is the sanctuary of Jacob Santo. Musical influences mainly from Jazz,Soul,Funk ,House and Greek Folk artists ( there are so many that inspired me it would take a lot of pages just referring to their names God bless you all).
